I'm a Breaking News Reporter for The Hill covering a wide range of stories like Congress, foreign affairs, state politics and more. Prior to joining The Hill last year, I served as a Washington correspondent. I covered Arizona politics while earning my Master’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. I also worked as a Graduate Research Fellow for the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Business Journalism while earning my degree. I’m originally from Denver and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where I studied journalism and political science. I served as editor-in-chief of the student paper, The Bold, on campus and completed several local news internships at The Colorado Sun and 303 Magazine. I enjoy social justice reporting and have spent time working on diversity, immigration and prison labor pieces. I have also covered business, campaigns, education beats. I most enjoy people-driven politics stories. I have leadership and editing experience, as well as investigative, data, photography and graphic design skills.My work has earned me several awards, including the 2023 Reuters and White House Correspondents Association Trust in Reporting Scholarship, several Hearst Competition finalist titles and state-level awards in Colorado.
