Leading analysis of visit-level collected by food banks (through their food pantries and feeding partners) to better understand the demographics, economic, and environmental circumstances and situations of neighbors utilizing charitable food assistance. I was also a co-investigator of "Map the Meal Gap 2020" which estimated 2018 county- and congressional district- food insecurity rates based on Current Population Food Security Supplement data. To accompany our work focused on local-level food insecurity, I am developing a suite of data visualizations that further disaggregate food insecurity and population data by race.Outside of my research portfolio, I have also worked to improve team operations. I led efforts to transition our data analytic processes from Excel to R to improve efficiency and replicability. I instituted team "lunch & learns" where we read and discuss readings pertaining to the roles and responsibilities of researchers in addressing systemic racism and inequity. I also engaged with external partners to initiate data sharing relationships to reduce the time and effort spend on data collection.

• Clean and analyze data from a national survey for the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work for a presentation at their 2019 Annual Conference• Edit research reports developed by Illinois Action for Children, highlighting the need for infant childcare and childcare during non-standard hours for subsidy-eligible families in Illinois, to be published on the organization’s website• Analyze American Community Survey data using R statistical software to develop economic and employment profiles of residents in Bridgeport, Connecticut
