My current role as a marketing and design intern requires me to materialize forward-thinking ideas, strategies, and complementing designs. Beyond just 2D graphics for Instagram and merchandise, I have to think broadly and strategically as the company beings the journey of launching another brand to help the success of college students and recent graduates into the workforce.

As an intern on the product design team for the cloud-based company, I focused on enhancing User Interface (UI) over differing products and use cases. The goals of these projects required new ideation, problem-solving, and focus on cohesion across cross-functional interfaces. Simultaneously, I also assisted the UX (User Experience) team in conducting usability testing. I dissected insights from the study in order to solidify A/B designs, usability, and forward-looking projects for the product teams.My main takeaways:1. Figma components: I learned you do not have to start from the ground up on every design for a successful deliverable; cohesive work is extremely important. More than learning the technical skills of this program, I learned how something like components and interactive abilities are other skills that help designers excel and continue to think to endless bounds.2. Design and attachment: I have always been challenged with a strong attachment to my designs. I started to become less attached to my designs, making it easier to work with ambiguous prompts or just the natural flow of a project that requires a change over the course of its materialization. Recognizing that change and improvement are what makes not merely good designs, but a great designer has helped me grow as a creative tremendously.3. One foot in front of the other: As I dipped my toes into different teams while working closely with the visual design team, I found myself overwhelmed with so much important information and opportunities to learn. Learning the importance of prioritization helped me succeed in my projects and personal navigation of my eager consciousness.

Curating schedules for all four outside divisions of the magazine (design/blog/art/content teams). Constantly re-designing the website to visually serve each quarter's new magazine release challenges my creative strategy while increasing retention and traffic to the website.I thoroughly enjoyed managing teams as it was my first role in a team where I had the privilege to lead others while navigating my own tasks and workloads. Being a leader in this team allowed me to gain insights into how my team was working together so I could curation systems and processes that encouraged us all to succeed in our positions.

Created boards and social content for all media outlets used by the magazine. Simultaneously, I creatively and logistically strategized all of the executions for each channel. Specialized in communicating directly with clients to understand their brand and media strategies. While facilitating their social media outlets, I focused on community engagement and created all written content for multiple clients.
