I am a clinical genetic counselor with multi-state licensure practicing in the areas of prenatal, preconception and psychiatric genetics. I worked in clinical roles in academic MFM departments for a decade before moving into patient-facing roles with clinical laboratories. I am passionate about supporting patients who are navigating genetic testing as part of their fertility journeys and pregnancies. I am also interested in the role of genetic counselors in ensuring the appropriate use of new technologies in the genetic testing space. I continue to support the UT-Houston Genetic Counseling Program (UTGCP) and enjoy facilitating graduate coursework (clinical bioethics and psychosocial counseling topics).I am also active with NSGC, most recently serving a four year term with the Ethics Advisory Group (EAG) and a three year term with the Annual Conference Planning Committee.
