About Laurent Capelle

I'm the son of a farmer and proud of my roots, and my love of nature is evident in my hobbies as an amateur beekeeper and gardener. This strong bond with the land has taught me three fundamental values: respect, the need to work together and, above all, the ability to see the big picture and understand long-term issues.These values have guided me throughout my 10 years of experience in supply management. I've had the chance to develop at different levels, whether locally as a store manager at Decathlon, nationally as a product manager at Profalux, or internationally, where I led global projects at Quechua. I also had the opportunity to pilot brands in India for Wed'ze and Simond. These experiences taught me to adapt to a variety of contexts, different cultural environments and constantly evolving markets. For me, adaptability means being able to integrate local needs with a global vision.But beyond adaptability, it's creativity that has often enabled me to rise above challenges. In a fast-moving, ultra-competitive environment, innovating, testing new ideas and thinking outside the box is crucial to staying relevant. I've been able to develop this ability by working with multi-disciplinary teams: from stylists to engineers, each player brings his or her own richness to the table. That's why I'm a firm believer in collective intelligence: I'm convinced that it's by bringing together diverse talents that we create the best solutions. And we test these solutions with users to validate our ultimate goal: customer satisfaction.Today, my ambition is to be a player in sustainable performance. For me, this means not only achieving economic objectives, but also helping my teams to grow in human terms by helping them to flourish. My ultimate goal is to become “useless”, by making each person autonomous and a player in his or her own success. This sustainable performance must also take our planet into account.
