Evaluates workstations and the work environment in order to address health problems and reduce the risk of work-related injuries. Effectively uses ergonomic assessment tools to evaluate risk factors. Provides recommendations regarding equipment and work practices in both office and industrial settings. Delivers training on health, safety and wellness.

Managed short-term disability cases for a variety of clients. Adjudicated claims by evaluating medical information and conducting phone interviews for physical and psychological disability situations. Worked with other health professionals such as medical specialists and physiotherapists to determine optimal return to work planning, including appropriate job modifications when necessary. Provided timely and efficient service in both English and French.

Working with a chiropractor, massage therapists and an acupuncturist, participated in client treatment by planning exercise programs to rehabilitate injuries. Developed and delivered training on injury prevention and back health.

As selected candidate for the Ontario Government Internship Program, advised management on human resources policies and procedures. Applied strong research and analytical skills in the interpretation of collective agreements, establishment of health and safety programs and human resources planning.
