Judge Advocate at a 430-man Pacific Command (PACOM) and Central Command (CENTCOM)-oriented Special Forces Battalion that conducts special operations throughout the USPACOM and other theaters as directed in order to support USPACOM objectives and US national interests. Serves as the primary legal advisor to all levels of command and their associated staff on the full spectrum of legal issues including military justice, operational law, international law, domestic and foreign policy, fiscal law, administrative law, and legal assistance. Represents the United States in courts-martial of all levels. Provides military justice advice to commanders on the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), adverse administrative actions and courts-martial. Advises investigating officers and reviews investigations appointed pursuant to Army Regulation 15-6 and other Army regulations. Provides training to service members in Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) and Rules of Engagement (ROE). Provides legal assistance to Soldiers and other service members on a range of diverse legal issues. Supervises and mentors Army paralegal personnel. Advises on fiscal matters and detention operations.

3Rd Brigade Combat Team, 10Th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York

Judge Advocate at an Infantry Brigade Combat Team consisting of six subordinate battalions with over 3,500 Soldiers. Represented the United States in courts-martial of all levels. Prepared courts-martial charges and prosecuted cases. Provided military justice advice on UCMJ, adverse administrative actions and courts-martial to commanders within 3rd Brigade Combat Team in a deployed environment. Coordinated with law enforcement officials to facilitate completion of investigations. Reviewed actions prepared by miliary justice paralegals. Represented the government at administrative separation boards. Advised Investigating Officers and reviewed Army Regulation 15-6 investigations. Provided training to Soldiers in LOW and ROE, and advised commanders on LOW and ROE principles before, during, and after kinetic engagements. Provided legal assistance to deployed Soldiers assigned to 3 BCT on a range of diverse legal issues. Served as a one-member Foreign Claims Commission and reviewed Foreign Claims Act claims in Afghanistan. Advised on North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) detention operations to ensure compliance with international law, US domestic law, and Department of Defense and NATO ISAF policy. Advised commanders on fiscal law matters.

10Th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York

Judge Advocate at the 10th Mountain Division Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. Represented the United States in courts-martial of all levels. Prepared courts-martial charges and prosecuted cases. Provided military justice advice on UCMJ, adverse administrative actions and courts-martial to commanders within 10th Mountain Division. Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Judge Advocate at the U.S. Army's Research, Development, and Engineering Command. Prosecuted courts-martial cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice involving sexual assault, fraud, larceny, assault, and a variety of other offenses. Conducted training on the military justice system for the Department of the Army Police Academy. Provided legal training for units in law of armed conflict and military justice.
