There’s a belief out there that lawyers are just very blunt people in very sharp suits. I hope that’s not me. I don’t wear a suit (often) and I prefer to work with people rather than against them. I just know what needs to be done to protect Start-up clients in Law, to help them Grow with integrity, and to help them Exit what they have built successfully and gracefully down the line.I left the legal battlefields behind 10 years ago with my husband to find new ways to meet the legal demands of SMEs. I worked for one of the top law firms in the country in my early post qualification years and I applauded that firm’s commitment to high quality output and customer service. I wanted to find a way to take that to SMEs.Beyond that, I wanted to create an ethos where I knew my client’s business as if it were my own. To be at the end of a phone without breaking the bank and to nurture what they were building as if it were my child’s. I called it Lawpoint, and we are specialist business contracts lawyers helping businesses who struggle with contracts to get them over the line. Effectively, we are outsourced in-house lawyers and contract managers. Building customer and supplier contracts in a wide range of industries for Start-Ups, adding Growth stability and integrity where needed and preparing for Final Sale with entire labour force satisfaction. And we are also Data Protection experts, with a low-cost hotline service for those that go adrift.In 2014, I co-authored my first ebook with David Drysdale. Called "The Collaboration Game" (Kindle) it is about freelancing with others to put all the collective businesses into overdrive.
