For the past four years I have entered into many new and wonderful life changing experiences which have shaped and molded the career path that I am on today. The most important would be the ability to stay home with my two young girls as a stay at home father. This all important “career” has trained me in so many areas that academia could not. Patience, understanding true priorities, maintaining a schedule full of uncertainty and appreciating the delicate nature of leaving a positive lasting impression on an individual child are a few of the virtues that this title of father has instilled in me. This “career” along with my field observations/experiences, student teaching and my previous career as a funeral director/embalmer have given me the confidence to firmly state and stand behind the following, my philosophy of education: To encourage a life-long love of learning by exhibiting a passion for education, as well as, providing engaging lesson plans developed with each unique student’s aptitude and learning style in mind. Furthermore, by demonstrating the importance of appropriate behavior, establishing a safe and respectful classroom and creating a relationship of high expectations for each student, I will create a well rounded, up standing member of society for which any school district would be proud.
