Postdoctoral Research FellowArea of research: Total synthesis of natural products and new reagents in organic synthesis. • Designed and stereoselective total synthesis of biologically active anticancer, annonaceous acetogenins -Rollidecin C and D by a novel tandem chemical cyclization reaction.• Led the total chemical synthesis of photolabeled antitumor, annonaceous acetogenin-ASIMICIN to study the mechanism of action with the mitochondrial complex I.• Discovered several novel organic transformational reactions using organometallic reagents.• Solid phase peptide synthesis of an enzyme-4-oxalocrotonate tautomerase using the Boc chemistry: Studied native folding and detailed study of its property by active site chemical mutations, investigation of its catalytic properties by switching the active site by chemical mutation.

Area of research: Design and Synthesis of haptens for monoclonal antibody generation & catalytic study.• Antibody-catalyzed tandem Diels-Alder reaction and ester hydrolysis. Design and synthesis of haptens, protein conjugation and antibody catalysis of cycloaddition reactions.• Synthesis of variety of organic substrates for the antibody D2.3: First observation of a remarkable remote chiral discrimination of the substrates by an antibody in estereolytic reactions.• Therapeutic antibodies; synthesis of phospho glycolipids and haptens for antibody production and towards treatment of sepsis.
