Customer Service is a vital component to any business. In today's instant access world, customers have unlimited access to information regarding any company in any industry. Having the reputation of providing exceptional customer service sets great companies apart from good companies. For over 8 years I’ve worked with clients in the fast-paced, high pressure, ever changing world of hospitality sales and catering. My role involved business and process consultation, education content creation, training (both onsite and online), and change management. My calm and confident demeanor helped to ease the anxiety associated with change and presented the customer with exceptional service.In fact, I became the go-to resource for “hot sites”, those sites that may have experienced implementation or support issues. My role was to diffuse the situation, and provide solutions in order to increase customer satisfaction and advocacy. For many of the clients with whom I’ve worked, I’m now viewed as a trusted and respected member of their team. During my tenure in the software industry, I’ve also interfaced regularly with Product Development, QA, Support, Sales, and Project Management. I adapt to and work well with many different personality types.Prior to entering the software industry, I worked as a retail manager, where I had to handle conflict resolution on a daily basis, with both clients and employees. Due to my honest and fair approach, I gained the trust and respect of both groups of people. I’ve also worked with the toughest critics around – kids! As the Assistant Program Director for the Annapolis Parks and Recreation Department, I helped to create a safe yet fun environment for children ages 5 through 13. I was highly respected by the children attending the program, as well as by my peers. During this time, I also fine-tuned my skills of providing feedback in a diplomatic yet effective manner, when I was tasked with addressing children’s behavioral issues with their parents.
