My passion for cause work derived from the experience of watching my grandfather struggle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease and being unable to find the resources in his local area that would suit his long-term needs. Since then, I've been determined to work for and represent organizations that have the same mission as me: to connect people in need to the products, people and resources that will enhance their quality of life. Throughout the past 6 years, I've worked at the Hearing Industries Association (HIA) to create a platform for hearing aid manufacturers, suppliers and distributors to collaborate on the best ways to serve the 38+ million Americans struggling with untreated hearing loss. I've been an asset in amplifying the importance of hearing health and its implications on overall physical and mental well-being to consumers and policymakers. I manage HIA's web and social media content curation and have increased our social media follows by over 3,000% since 2018, making HIA one of the top followed hearing health organizations in the U.S. I have experience in creating, editing, and publishing press releases and have intermediate skills in website design. I routinely assist in every area of non-profit administration, from member relations to accounting, and creating engaging small and large-scale events. I eagerly look forward to building stronger skills at the opportunity of each new challenge.
