In this experience, I'm working with an application that my squad received from a team from China. It was a great challenge due to the cultural, language, and timezone differences. Nevertheless, the transference was successful.The project's technology was also challenging, with an on-premieres data warehouse, Java code, Korn shell jobs, etc. After the transference, we dealt with security compliance issues, migration of obsolete environments, and some other bugs.Then, I'm currently working with my team to understand what we could do to improve the system, considering the UX, architecture, the complex and obsolete infrastructure, and code solution.

During this time, I started to study and put into practice some good practices of software development and architecture, like some design patterns for a code with low coupling and high cohesion, layered-based architectures, micro-services patterns, Domain-Driven Design, etc.I worked with some new technologies and tools like MongoDB, GraphQL, React.js, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Swagger (OpenAPI).

During this time, I had worked on the first release of PASS Web (after MVP). The main feature for this first release was a searching engine for historical data of IBM's installed machines. It gave me the great opportunity of working directly with the users and the PO to understand the problem, architect the solution and implement it.

I was introduced to a diverse Agile squad with mainframe application developers, business analysts, and one web developer during my internship. This experience gave me the opportunity to better understand some IBM architecture and business for order management in Latin America. I also had my introduction to Agile workflow, working with the Product Owner and iteration Manager (scrum master), and some ceremonies like daily stand-up, planning, showcases, retrospectives, etc.I had worked with three main applications:AppMonitor: I built the front end using vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. This was a simple application that fetches monitoring status from a Node.js back end using long-pulling.- SmartTickets: My first full-stack experience was working directly in an existing Node.js and Express back-end, a front-end with Angular.js, and deploying it on IBM Cloud. This was my first experience with NoSQL databases (CouchDB).- PASS Web: I had the opportunity to lead the construction of this solution to build a Web Interface for a mainframe application. I architected the solution using asynchronous communication through IBM MQ, deployed it using Docker containers, and used Redis to cache data. I could develop integration with the IBM SSO using OpenID connect on this project.

As part of the Experts Club Creators program, I constantly produce hands-on video-classes through which I share technical content that I have gathered throughout my career. I present technologies and solutions inside my expertise in back-end with the objective of helping developers that participate on Experts Club on the challenge of the never ending and on-demand learning process.
