Responsibilities include overseeing the Management of Review process as defined by the Quality Management System (QMS) to assess its overall effectiveness and ensure objectives are being met. Interpret and verify implementation of quality assurance standards/procedures to ensure compliance to the QMS. Review internal and external project audit documentation, non-conformance reports, and corrective/preventative actions. Review Engineering Projects, applying utilization criteria to determine the need for corrective actions or NCR’s.Played integral role in working with the Procurement Group in developing the Vendor Qualification Process. Worked to define Vendor Survey Questionnaire’s used in qualifying vendors as well as rating the performance of existing vendors. Served as liaison for all documentation transmitted between company and vendors, as well as scheduler for all audit activities.

The position was responsible for managing capital projects up to $250,000.

Managed medium current Implanter product structure and upper level documentation effort, combining the release of all upper level documentation with the processing of all manufacturing requests based upon interruption of production.Provided design support on a cross-functional Documentation Corrective Action Team by researching product problems, interfacing with manufacturing engineering, determining the validity of a problem, and then writing an ECO. By providing dedicated support, ECO’s were processed through the system in 48 hours or less, reducing product assembly down time.Created designs for various systems (high-purity argon plumbing, nitrogen purge plumbing) used on Implanter product line.Delivered design support on a cross-functional standardization team by helping to establish parameters based on engineering design guidelines, and then converting that information into web pages for a company Intranet.Initiated the process to identify an alternate manufacturer for a leaky high purity gauge by researching data, contacting manufacturers, setting up meetings, and creating a complete specification package used for bid proposals by prospective manufacturers.Instituted a checking function, verifying documentation for quality, consistency, and compliance with established industry/military standards. Checking function had a direct impact on improving both the quality of the product and the turnaround time involved in delivering the product to our customers.Created a work flow database used to record and track new requests for work, work in progress, completed projects, and work assignments for all designers/drafters based on priorities determined by management business directives. Database was used as a tool for streamlining documentation processes.
