As a Legal Intern, I conducted phone calls in Spanish to assist in distributing over $2 million to Oakland’s undocumented community who were financially impacted by COVID-19. I produced weekly status reports on the applicants' status on receiving their stipends and connecting undocumented workers who reside in Oakland to Centro Legal's relief fund. Additionally, I drafted record requests for clients in wage claim cases and researched legal protections for workers who faced repercussions for advocating for the Black Lives Matter movement. -

I interviewed and transcribed English and Spanish narratives of refugee residents of Lancaster, PA, and Colca Valley, Peru to document climate migration patterns. During my time in Yanque, Peru I taught English to local children and adults in Yanque, Peru after conducting interviews. Using the data collected, I digitally mapped narratives of migration using ArcGIS to visually construct the impacts of climate change on human activity. -
