Lea Williams, Ph.D. Email and Phone Number
I help talented nonprofit leaders expand their capacity through organizational consulting and individual coaching services. Our firm works with organizations, foundations and institutions serving all sectors of the nonprofit community. My areas of expertise include meeting effectiveness, leadership, board, and staff training and development, data analysis (both quantitative and qualitative), strategic planning, survey design, stakeholder research, and volunteer retention/engagement. Prior to joining PMA in July of 2020, I dedicated my time to two areas: earning my Ph.D. in Organizational Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and serving 15+ nonprofits through consulting engagements. While obtaining my Doctorate, I also worked in several Talent Management/Organizational Development roles at large organizations in Charlotte, such as Ingersoll Rand, Duke Energy, TIAA, and Jacobsen. In my spare time, I advocate on behalf of the National Brain Tumor Society, eat at as many Charlotte restaurants as I can, and spend time with my 2 rescue greyhounds.

Consulting ProjectThe Center For Congregational Health Jun 2019 - Sep 2019• Designed, implemented, and analyzed a survey to help The Center for Congregational Health better understand "thriving congregations" for a Lilly Endowment Grant proposal• Delivered a written report summarizing the quantitative and qualitative results from the survey • Partnered with The Center Director/Network Coordinator to integrate survey findings into grant proposalThis was a very unique opportunity. The Director of The Center for Congregational Health sought me out based on my expertise in designing, analyzing, and and interpreting surveys. Though I did not have expertise in the subject matter (i.e. thriving congregations in churches), I was able to quickly understand the goals of the project, design/build out a survey to accomplish the goals, analyze the data, and summarize the results in a written report that the client was able to easily integrate into their grant application. The Director expressed his appreciation for my ability to translate the findings into something digestible for him/his staff on such a tight timeline; he actually included me on the grant proposal for future work. -
