I think I have always been a coach but didn't realise it. At comprehensive school, I tutored my friends through their GCSE Maths Coursework and even then I was more focused on helping them see that they were capable of the work than teaching them the content. (They passed btw).I mistook this skill as a sign to teach and after studying creative writing at Uni I did a PGCE Pcet. I soon realised that supporting students was far more rewarding for me as I could get that immediate feedback from the learner and help them achieve their goals more effectively. I am also a bit of a jack of all trades due to my ADHD-fueled deep dives into topics and hobbies and I went down a rabbit hole into graphic design in 2020. Since then I have freelanced in illustration and graphic design. After having conversations with my bestie on the state of mental health provision following the pandemic we decided to combine forces. With her experience in the NHS Occupational Therapy Dept and my teaching/coaching experience, we founded The Well Beings. We provide well-being coaching and group support to help people learn how to look after their mental health and prevent burnout.
