From the second Leah Sly picked up the guitar she knew there was nothing else she wanted to do but play. Born in the blues city of Chicago, Leah Sly began her musical journey at the age of 11, the same time she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Both life-changing events drove her to dedicate her life to music which involved graduating high school early with a 3.8 GPA in order to tour as the lead guitarist with American Idol star Dalton Rapattoni where they played 50 shows in 25+ states. She has also gotten the chance to play over 150+ shows all around the Midwest during her high school career including Chicago's House of Blues, Milwaukee's Summerfest 4 years in a row, the Bomb Factory in Texas, Full Sail University, and opening for Skid Row – talk about extracurricular activities! Leah Sly is a performer. The stage is where she thrives and strives to be. She is currently attending Musician’s Institute in the lovely Hollywood, California where she continues to hone her craft and pursue her dream of performing.
