As a PALS I have worked alongside academic and support staff in mentoring and advising prospective and current UCLan students. In this role I facilitated groups of up to 30 students in seminar and ice-breaker activities. I worked within the school of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences and the school of Education and Social Sciences to lead introductory seminars. I also worked on the Flying Start residential event helping prospective students to prepare for University life.

During the induction weeks for new students I guided groups around the Library building, demonstrating facilities and explaining services to the new students.

As a Girlguiding Young Leader I was part of a team of leaders who run a local Rainbows unit. I helped organise and run activities for the girls aged 5-7.

As a waitress at Bilby’s Coffee Shop my main responsibilities included taking orders and giving customers a high standard of customer service. During my time as a waitress I was able to improve my time management, organisation and communication skills.

During my time here I aided the staff to care for children aged between 2 and 13 by organising and carrying out activities.

For just over a year I was a young leader at my local Brownie pack. As a young leader I supported other members of staff in the running of activities for girls aged 7 to 10.
