Team lead on all operational tasks and manage a direct report.

Execute all aspects of event planning and logistics for 10+ bi-coastal MREP workshops. Duties include, but aren’t limited to participant registration and contact database management, vendor relationship and contract negotiation, preparation of event specifications and logistics, arranging travel needs, and coordination of hotel rooming lists. Post-workshop duties include managing accounts payable and reimbursement to workshop attendees.

The Marine Resource Education Program (MREP) empowers fishermen and other fisheries stakeholders to effectively participate in federal fisheries science and management through a 5-day workshop that engages 20-30 fishermen participants with 10-15 fisheries researchers and managers in a neutral setting. We operate in the Greater Atlantic, Southeast, Caribbean, Pacific, North Pacific, and Western Pacific fishery regions, and conduct between 10-15 events annually.

I created, organized, and implement process maps that provided visual documentation to help define system protocols.
