I am an award-winning, dynamic and agile professional with extensive international experience in empirical software engineering research, development & project management. I have led and managed internationally distributed teams in executing R&D EU-funded projects. I have worked as a researcher, software tester, project coordinator and cloud specialist.My scientific background is in empirical software engineering research. I hold a Doctorate in Software Engineering (Approved with Distinction). In 2015, I received an award for an outstanding international dissertation from the Society for Viipuri School of Economics (Lappeenranta, Finland). In my current role, I am advancing science at the Curtin Institute for Data Science as I endeavor to accelerate knowledge, creativity and innovation. I am a detail-oriented problem solver and I thrive in collaborative environments. Prior to moving to Australia, I was based in Finland, and involved in EU-funded multinational projects aimed at supporting open science and research data management through the European Open Science Cloud. I have an interest in African development affairs, which I fulfil through volunteering - I have served as a Program Committee Member for the Fingo Powerbank project (supporting development NGOs to innovate technology solutions / private sector collaboration); a member of Think Africa ry (promoting participation, representation, diversity and collaboration between the African diaspora and the Finnish society); a program advisory committee member for the Master’s degree program in Data Science at the Namibia University of Science and Technology; and a facilitator for the Remode project (supporting companies and organisations from Finland and the African continent in expanding their business and impact).Having been around the world, I enjoy exposure to diverse cultures.
