My passion for technology began at just 8 years old, when I tinkered with my grandfather's old gadgets. Helping him recharge batteries and fix broken devices sparked a curiosity in me that has never faded. That early hands-on experience led me to summer coding classes, where I explored HTML, robotics, and built my first website through the Bridge the Gap program. As I delved deeper into the tech world, I became captivated by hardware computing—the endless possibilities for innovation and problem-solving were simply too compelling to ignore. But technology has never been my only passion. My journey has also been closely tied to art. From a young age, I was drawn to the creative freedom art offered, whether through sketching, stop-motion animation, or film processing. My mom recognized this passion and enrolled me in an art development program with Pratt, where I honed my artistic skills. Looking back, I see that art and technology share more in common than one might think—both require a blend of creativity, precision, and vision to bring ideas to life, and both have fueled my drive to create. In high school, I decided to explore engineering, focusing on infrastructure and environmental factors. While this was a valuable experience, I eventually returned to my true passion: computer science and hardware engineering during college. Realizing the tech field was becoming oversaturated, I sought new opportunities for hands-on experience. I joined Year Up to deepen my knowledge of computer components and enhance my skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This experience also allowed me to build strong relationships and embrace challenges that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Now, I’m excited to continue merging my love for technology and creativity as I advance in my career. Whether solving complex problems in IT Helpdesk or discovering innovative solutions in hardware computing, I remain driven by the same passion that started it all. I look forward to new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
