Completed senior honours thesis research in the Churchman lab at Harvard Medical School (churchman.med.harvard.edu). Research leveraged native elongating transcript sequencing (NET-seq) data to understand transcriptional regulation and dynamics at high resolution. I was funded by the Harvard College Research Program (HCRP), and won a Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize.

Berlin Area, Germany

I worked in Carlo Stresemann's in vitro oncology group. There, I studied the effect of various compounds on gene expression at both the mRNA and protein level. I worked in cell culture, and primarily performed cell proliferation, western blot, and RT-qPCR assays.

Cambridge, Ma

I worked in the Mango Lab at Harvard university, studying epithelia in C. elegans development. In C. elegans embryos lacking the transcription factor pha-4, DLG-1 protein expression is severely reduced in the pharynx, even though dlg-1 RNA is still abundant. To understand how the transcription factor affects protein but not RNA abundance, I inactivated associated genes, using both RNAi and mutations, and then imaged the RNA and protein abundance using smFISH and antibody staining respectively. I was funded through the Program for Research in Science and Engineering (PRISE) and the Harvard College Research Program (HCRP).
