Senior Family Readiness Support Assistant
Current- PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST providing wellness support, guidance, and recommendations to leadership, staff, soldiers and families. Delivered high-quality, sometimes confidential, assistance and services through effective communication, tactfulness, and a professional demeanor. Provide referrals of internal and external agencies to members in person, via phone, email, and other written correspondence. - REVIEW AND/OR DEVELOPED POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS and other visual tools for a variety of presentations and training. Brief and train commanders, staff, and volunteers on family readiness requirements, regulations, resiliency and well-being, and providing support for all phases of deployment. - DRAFT AND DELIVER MEMORANDUMS, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION MESSAGES, briefs and presentations (from Officer to family member level). Compose written reports (data, statistics, measurements, and research) daily and/or monthly ensuring clear, concise, and effective information is provided across all levels. Develop and maintain contact lists, rosters, and distribution lists. - EVENT PLANNER coordinating and executing numerous military events with attendees ranging from 20-300. Coordinate venues, catering, materials, audio visual equipment, supplies, resource and speaker participants. Conduct planning meetings with key staff ensuring project goals and schedules were met and to address any discrepancies and deconflicting schedules as needed. Confer with high ranking military officials and civilian stakeholders to ensure maximum participation from units. Establish and develop relationships with employers, veteran's service organizations, and military associations to support events. - VOLUNTEER PROGRAM MANAGER mentoring, training, conducting orientation, processing documents, tracking and reporting hours, preparing and approving expense reports, and preparing award recognition. Develop and/or provide opportunities for volunteer professional development.
