Dr. Leana Wen is a practicing physician and healthcare executive. She serves as an independent board member of Glaukos Corporation (NYSE: GKOS) and UroGen Pharma (NASDAQ: URGN) and is on the audit committee for both as well the chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee for UroGen. She also chairs the advisory board of the Behavioral Health Group, the largest Joint Committee-accredited network of outpatient opioid treatment centers. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors of the Bipartisan Policy Center and the Baltimore Community Foundation and serves on the advisory boards of tech start-ups MANUAL and B Generous.Dr. Wen has extensive experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, including as health commissioner for the city of Baltimore, where she led the nation’s oldest continuously operating health department to combat the opioid epidemic and improve maternal and child health. She has conducted health systems research in China, South Africa, United Kingdom, and Rwanda, and served as principal investigator and scientific advisor for Kit Company, a home diagnostics start-up.
