CurrentPatrols Zoo Atlanta in accordance with security proceduresChecks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and security violationsReports safety concerns, security breaches, fire hazards, water leaks, and unusual circumstances bothverbally and in writingWrites detailed narrative reportsInvestigates incidents, accidents, crimes, etc by interviewing and obtaining statements of victims,witnesses, suspects, and concerned parties.Operates security vehicle as neededAssists in inventory or inspection procedures as directedMonitors security radio channels and communicates effectivelyAttends meetings, seminars, and training sessions as requiredMaintains high visibility by patrollingResponds to emergency situations requiring security assistanceAnswers questions and assist guests and employeesReinforces security procedures and safety policiesEscorts cashiers and other employees to venues throughout the park in a conscientious and timelymannerMonitors access control to critical areas including security building, administration building, andperimeter access gates.Represents Zoo Atlanta in a professional and courteous manner.Capable of operating security equipment, i.e., CCTV, IMS effectivelyFamiliar and proficient with the Emergency Procedures Manual.Familiar and knowledgeable of the Emergency Notification List.Familiar and knowledgeable of the Zoo Atlanta Policies.Completes all other tasks as assigned by security management staff
