Responsible for the development and implementation of university-wide community engagement programs for students and support for faculty participation in support of student programs.Provide strategic leadership in developing, implementing, and assessing significant and innovative university-wide curriculum-based service-learning and community engagement programming. Direct the Community Engagement Scholars course of study, the only university-wide approved course of study for students in all majors and minors.

I am responsible for implementing The Newark Partnership’s (TNP) vision- to make Newark, DE the best place to live, work, and play. As the leader of our community coalition, I am focused on the long-term success of TNP, while also ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. TNP serves our community as a connector to and between individuals, small and large businesses, corporations, and nonprofits. We also work to build bridges between the community, the University of Delaware, and the City of Newark municipality. By de-siloing the wonderful work and creativity going on in our town, we build a space of entrepreneurial innovation as well as fellowship with our neighbors.

While working for the Institute for Public Administration at the University of Delaware, I was responsible for soliciting and fulfilling state and local government contract work. During this time I specialized in conflict resolution and strategic planning.

As a Legislative Aide for the Delaware General Assembly's House Majority Caucus managed the legislative offices for two or three State Representatives with limited supervision.

As a Legislative Fellow for the Delaware General Assembly's Division of Research, I was responsible for conducting extensive state-by-state comparison research and writing concise memos to inform the State's Joint Sunset Committee.

During my graduate school career, I took on two different assistantships while taking a full class load. At the same time as I was a Legislative Fellow, I also took over as a Hall Director for the University of Delaware's Residence Life and Housing Office where I supervised a staff of seven diverse, undergraduate Resident Assistants and oversaw necessary crisis intervention in a residence hall of 300+ students. - Oversaw a residence hall building of over 500 students; responsible for mediating conflict and following up on policy infringements.

During this summer into fall internship, I kickstarted a national grant program, Beyond Jobs, for the Goodwill location in the state of Delaware and Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Beyond Jobs program was a holistic look at employment for women, which took into account childcare, education, and training need. I conducted one-to-one intake interviews with 130 newly registered participants and created an individualized career and financial plan for each. By the end of 3-months, 30 of these women were placed in full-time work.

Through my sophomore, junior, and senior years of college at the University of Delaware, I was a Resident Assistant. During my senior year, I also held a leadership role as my complex's Student Engagement Advisor. This meant the I was responsible for programming in three different buildings.
