I have been teaching at Coventry University in Disaster Management and Emergency Planning since January 2019, where I am now course director for all undergraduate programs. Before that I taught at the University of Lincoln after completing 8 years as a local authority emergency planning officer. I have also recently completed my MPhil at Lincoln University. My research is around the social impacts and recovery from the 2016/17 devastating earthquakes in the Lazio region of Italy.I am now beginning a PhD in Disaster Risk Reduction Education.
