Oversee residential waste reduction and diversion initiatives for the City of Airdrie in order to continuously improve the effectiveness of the waste, organics and recycling programs.- Identify, plan, and develop strategies to improve programs- Develop, implement and maintain policies and operational procedures required for the department- Participate in the development and management of residential program budgets- Participate in the preparation, review, and scoring of competition documents- Ensure adherence to bylaws and contractual obligations are being met by contractors

Waste and Recycling Services provides residents with options for managing their residential/household waste through services and education, considering environmental, social and economic impacts.- Planned, developed, promoted and implemented education programs, events, and initiatives such as the Cart Wizard Cart Assessment program, Waste Reduction Week, shredding events, and school presentations and tours- Worked with Corporate Communications to develop marketing and education material including communication plans, presentations, and promotional products- Evaluated education material and programs, identifying opportunities to enhance material and delivery- Maintained information on the department website
