Mrs Leanne O’Neill formally trained in Behavioural Science, Criminology and Education with research interests in parapsychology and criminology, specifically the utility of mediums in advancing homicide investigations. She received the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence in 2020, is a Course Coordinator, Lecturer and Tutor within the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University, previously a Program Coordinator, Course Coordinator, Lecturer at Griffith College and a research assistant on the Queensland Drug Courts program in 2000. Leanne is also in private practice where she regularly provides expertise, advice and guidance to individuals, couples and families as a professional counsellor, transformational life coach and medium where she uses a holistic approach that honours the whole person - mind, body and spirit –to integrate and heal from grief, loss and trauma so they can thrive and live healthy vibrant lives. In addition to her academic pursuits, she also has extensive lived experience supporting a family member who has lost loved ones to homicide which has given her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by co-victims and has fuelled her passion for supporting those who are affected by the sudden and traumatic death of a loved one in seeking justice. Overall, Leanne is a highly skilled educator, counsellor and researcher who is committed to creating positive and powerful change in the lives of co-victims of homicide so they can heal and move forward.
