As the Operations Manager, I play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward by ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. My responsibilities span a wide array of functions, including managing our foster network and recruiting new volunteers for various roles, including home checking, dog walking and fostering. In addition to these, I support our Head of Adoptions and Education Manager, providing assistance where needed with events and project management. With a proactive mindset, I continuously explore innovative opportunities striving to maximise our charity’s reach and effectiveness.

In my role as Operations assistant, I played a crucial part in the organisation's daily operations. My responsibilities included coordinating and supporting volunteers, assisting at various events, and providing administrative support to the Head of Adoptions. I managed our extensive foster network, ensuring smooth communication and operations, and handled our main phone line, addressing enquiries and providing information to the public. This multifaceted position required communication, organisational and team-work skills, allowing me to contribute to the charity's mission and objectives effectively.

As a Volunteer Home Checker, I conducted virtual home checks to assess the suitability of each home for the dog they were looking to adopt. I prepared adopters for what to expect and provided them with relevant resources and post-adoption support to ensure a smooth transition for both the dogs and their new family. This role required keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to both animals and adopters.
