I am a research psychologist and have published and presented research in cross-cultural psychology and personality, on-line learning, the cognitive sciences and, most recently, in social cognition – an area that deals with the ways in which what we think is related to how we behave. I am most interested in the ways that what we believe is related to (or isn’t related to) our morality. I finished my PhD in psychology in 2001 and have been working as a professor -- teaching and researching full time since then. I love both teaching and research. A challenge is finding time for both of these things. A strategy that I have found works is to include undergraduate students in active research projects. This provides the students with a fabulous learning experience and benefits me at the same time. It provides me with research collaborators who have to listen to me go on and on about research. This spring, my students are travelling to 3 (or 4 -- waiting to hear) different research conferences to present our research.
