Having been selected in the Japanese government affiliated JET Programme as an English teacher and cultural ambassador, I was responsible for devising and implementing original curricula and developed over 150 visual and audio teaching aids.In 2013, I established and co-launched a programme to assist the transition of year 5 and 6 students into Junior High School English and also designed and implemented lessons for special needs students using original tailored materials. Along with being a regular presenter and leader at biannual English workshops, I presented and moderated at prefectural teacher conferences and was involved in the planning of a new English curriculum for 41 kindergartens in Tsu city.

Pangaea is an organization that provides a universal environment for the communication between children across the globe, regardless of difference in geography, languages or social backgrounds. I actively contributed to monthly activities as a certified facilitator, promoting cross-cultural communication to over 18 student participants. My role also involved the evaluation of activities for revitalization of the programme.

Sydney, Australia

Working as the sole Australian employee of a major Japanese rail company’s international office, I managed the subsidiary company operations, accounts and events, as well as spearheading cross-cultural liaison with major export clients. This incorporated coordinating documentation, conducting off-site inspections and liaison regarding initiatives that saw the increased sales of wine exports by 20% each year over three years. I also launched the marketing of tour products, regularly presented at industry conferences and conducted annual training sessions for sales representatives.

Over a seven year period, I built a clientele of 15 students who I instructed and mentored in weekly private piano lessons, gearing them towards the completion of Australian Music Examination Board exams. I also developed and implemented original keyboard tuition curricula at two schools in NSW and accompanied state choral festivals in western Sydney.
