I work directly with Louisiana's Children's Advocacy Centers and relevant partner agencies for strategy development and successful fulfillment of the objectives of the Louisiana Child and Youth Trafficking Collaborative (LCYTC)- a critical statewide strategic initiative coordinated by LACAC. I manage a team of 9 regional human trafficking coordinators. I provide technical assistance and training to support the development of localized human trafficking response multi-disciplinary teams. Additionally, I provide expertise on labor trafficking response and authentic representation of human trafficking. Additionally, I conduct strategic projects for LACAC. This includes projects to increase equity and access to CACs, data initiatives to improve data collection processes, and activities to improve CACs' resilience to disasters.

As the Task Force Coordinator, I liaised with law enforcement, service providers, community members and Task Force members to foster relationships with different stakeholders in the Greater New Orleans region. I provided training on topics related to human trafficking response and identification, and assist by offering technical assistance to organizations/agencies in their human trafficking response. I facilitated the Task Force administrative activities, coordinated general Task Force and Committee meetings, and conducted grant monitoring and reporting activities. I managed 4 sub-grantee agencies on the grant, as well as the evaluation team.Community collaboration was a cornerstone of my work as the Task Force Coordinator. I participated in many short term collaborative groups address human trafficking response in Greater New Orleans. I also acted as a sitting member of the New Orleans Domestic Violence/ Sexual Assault Action Coalition (formerly SART) on behalf of the Task Force, and a member of the National Human Trafficking & Disabilities Working Group. In 2018 I was appointed Chair of the Labor Trafficking Committee for the Louisiana Governor's Human Trafficking Prevention Commission and Advisory Board.

My primary role was to manage a team of 6-10 coders on the HTI to code and analyze an internationally recognized report on human trafficking. I lead different training sessions for the coders on new methods of coding and data analysis, and also gave external training sessions about the HTI. I coordinated team meetings, managed the team schedules, and ensured that due dates and deliverables were timely. This role included vetting and analyzing data using Stata and other data analysis methods, with data analysis being a crucial component of daily tasks. As an HTC staff member I participated in community outreach presentations and briefings to local anti-trafficking practitioners, the general public, and academics. I published several blogs for the HTC's website analyzing current events and topics in human trafficking, which transform lengthy research and analysis into blogs that a wide variety of audiences can enjoy.

I was a Research Assistant as part of the Human Trafficking Index (HTI) project at the Human Trafficking Center. Our coding team implements a binary coding process to analyze an internationally recognized report on anti-trafficking efforts. The main tasks included producing, vetting, and analyzing past data. In conjunction with my role as a Research Assistant, I was appointed the Event Coordinator for the HTI Data Workshop-- taking place April 21-23, 2016. In this role I: coordinated flights and travel accommodations, implemented event planning and logistics coordination, liaised with event attendees, created the programs and literature for the event, managed volunteers for the event, and acted as a point of contact for all Data Workshop questions and information.

These events ranged from small events like professional development lectures, to larger scale events such as the 2015 International Simulation Crisis Negotiation Exercise (ISCNE) hosted by the Army War College. I was awarded a competitive 2016 Mosaic Taiwan Fellowship. Mosaic Taiwan is a fellowship exchange program for emerging U.S. and Canadian leaders wishing to gain firsthand experience in the Republic of China (Taiwan).Set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Mosaic Taiwan program provides young students and professionals with interest in global affairs with the opportunity to explore Taiwanese politics. Fellows take part in team-building and leadership development exercises, as well as workshops and lectures on topics involving Taiwan. Fellows also meet with government officials and young leaders in Taiwan to discuss issues of common concern, with a focus on fostering cross-cultural connections. This fellowship took place during June 2016 in various locations in Taiwan. On the trip I was voted one of 5 "Team Leaders" who acted as a liaison between MOFA and Mosaic fellows for a portion of the trip. During this time I led several meetings on behalf of the fellows, including meetings with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Taiwan Department on Gender Equality.

I created and provided briefings to community organizations, religious institutions, and local educational institutions on topics related to human trafficking and vulnerable populations. My daily tasks included: translating documents from Chinese to English, interacting with Chinese employees in the US office to create a culturally integrated work environment, and providing writing support and proof reading for staff presentations and documents. In my role I traveled to Shanghai, China as an assistant and cultural guide for American engineers. My role was to assist in grant-writing and proposals, and help create a team note-taking protocol for the research collection process. My role within the team was the Grant Administrative Coordinator. In this role I organized travel arrangements, helped create the grant budget, contacted and liaised for interviews, and managed the timeline and team schedule. I gained valuable skills in managing a team, grant writing, qualitative research methodology, qualitative research, and travel/logistics coordinating. After our research trip to Thailand in June 2012, my team and I presented my paper and our research findings at the ASIANetwork 2013 Conference in Nashville, TN. Our research project was also awarded 3rd place in the 21st Annual Linfield College Science and Social Science Symposium.
