I enjoy the challenge of assisting clients to protect their valuable IP assets, and learn about new technologies and innovations. I work as both an IP lawyer and patent and trade marks attorney. A large proportion of my work includes partnering with major international clients to prosecute, protect and enforce their trade mark rights. I prosecute applications and act in infringement and opposition matters in Australia. I utilise the Australian Customs Service trade mark and copyright mechanisms to assist in combating counterfeit and infringing material at the border. I have also managed complex litigation matters across all IP disciplines before the Federal Court of Australia.I have a great interest in helping clients recognise and protect intellectual property in their business, including recommending and preparing agreements and licenses. I am also involved in advising, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the ICT and engineering sector, including the areas of computer software, optical and photonic technologies, gaming, and telecommunications.
