As Group Telemarketing Manager, I was responsible for launching a new customer call centre, including the implementation of a tender for an outsourced provider for the national Customer Service Centre and outbound telemarketing operations for Microsoft. The role included the ongoing management of the call centre operation (500,000 calls per annum) to ensure the asset was professionally managed and delivered on key performance indicators and customer satisfaction standards and the management of the telemarketing budget for the subsidiary ($3M+). Achievements:- Managed a seamless transfer of customer service operation to an outsourced partner, with zero downtime, that provided major improvements to technology, KPI results and customer satisfaction- Launched a national outbound telemarketing operation- Created an environment, team and processes that made launching new products, programs and marketing initiatives into the customer call centre a seamless and effective procedure- Implemented customer satisfaction measurement

In this role I managed the Relationship Marketing Group, incorporating direct marketing, database management, customer relations and the Microsoft loyalty program, incorporating the Microsoft magazine. I was responsible for the development of an annual strategic direct marketing plan and it's implementation, including the relationship management of external partners and management of associated budgets to ensure effective implementation of all direct marketing programs and activities, on budget. In addition, I was responsible for the management of the ongoing development and management of Microsoft’s customer database to ensure its strategic use and for the strategic management and marketing of the Microsoft loyalty program, incorporating the Microsoft magazine. The role included the management of performance for four direct reports - direct marketing manager, database manager, customer relations manager and publication co-ordinator

In the role of Senior Direct Marketing Manager I was responsible for the management of the customer loyalty program – Microsoft Communique, including the Microsoft magazine. The role incorporated the selection and management of the transition to a new publisher and the ongoing supervision of the monthly publication of the Microsoft Magazine, including editorial content, design and advertising to ensure the magazine met the communication objectives of the subsidiary. In addition, I was responsible for the management of the loyalty program incorporating renewal and new member acquisition programs . I was responsible for the management of the publishing partner and advertising agency relationships and the management of annual subsidiary direct marketing budget and loyalty program budget. In the role I managed all aspects of performance for one direct report – publication coordinator. Achievements:- International Excellence Award (awarded for exceptional contributions to the company) – Cost Control. Reduced expenses of the Microsoft Loyalty Program from a cost of $800K per annum to a breakeven model within 12 months.- Overwhelming internal support as well as incredibly positive customer feedback to the relaunch of the Microsoft magazine.

In this role I was responsible for the development of marketing strategy and execution for consumer product group in Australia and New Zealand including achievement of revenue, unit and market share targets for the Microsoft Consumer group of products. Achievements:- Growth in Consumer product business for subsidiary from $9M (FY93) to $26.1M (FY95)- Achieved ranking of 3rd highest achieving subsidiary worldwide for consumer product group- Achieved 124% of revenue and 144% of unit target for FY94- Launched Microsoft ‘Home’ Brand with Bill Gates to the Australian media- Employee of the month, May 1994
