South Pacific Private’s mission is ‘To change lives and heal families' by providing Australians with the most holistic, comprehensive and proven treatment programs for addiction, trauma and mental health issues. For 30 years, South Pacific Private has been at the forefront of addiction and mental health services in Australia and is proud to have helped over 14,000 people and their families start their recovery journey and find freedom. Opening in 1993, South Pacific Private became Australia’s very first treatment centre equipped to treat addiction, trauma and mental health conditions in parallel - and to treat them within an integrated, holistic program that incorporates partners, friends and family. We believe our pioneering trauma informed program offers the best treatment available in the southern hemisphere because it brings together physical, psychological and emotional healing. As a fully-accredited, 54-bed private hospital, South Pacific Private offers the very highest levels of clinical expertise. All programs are supervised by a multi-disciplinary and expert team of psychiatrists, psychologists, general practitioners, registered nurses, psychotherapists and counsellors. As an organization we recognise the Gayamaygal people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land upon which we work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. South Pacific Private is a proud participant in the Rainbow Tick Accreditation program for LGBTQIA+ inclusion and has participated in Career Trackers, an Indigenous work placement program.
