The reason why I get up every day and go to work is because I hope and mostly believe that what I do can help change society and the environment for the better.I work passionately with new technologies in order to drive sustainable transitions in business, industry, the public sector and in public opinions. The times are truly daunting and, I believe, very exciting - in order to solve the immense environmental and social challenges we are currently facing we need to be both creative, innovative and realistic in the ways we develop and employ new IT solutions.At my job I am surrounded by interesting and nerdy people who help me think creatively about how new technologies such as IoT, data, sensors, artificial intelligence, and not least methods such as design thinking, business model canvas, and empirical studies can be employed for what we call Intelligent Sustainability. https://alexandra.dk/uk/application-areas/intelligent-sustainability Besides my work at the Alexandra Institute I am teaching students at the IT University in sustainability and IT and I am supervising master students who wish to write about IT and sustainability. My continuous work with students keeps me up to date with what concerns them, development in academia and not least it satisfies my eager to teach and pass on knowledge.When I am not working, I am mostly repairing and rebuilding our old house and nursing our tiny garden.
