As a Biomedical Engineer, I value opportunities in advancing healthcare through innovative medical devices and research. With a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, I have built a strong foundation of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. My research includes genome engineering, stem cell research, and Alzheimer's Disease pathology. At Brafman Laboratory, I engineered human stem cell lines, optimized experimental protocols, and led a project to create a clonal cell line with an APOJ knockout mutation using a base editing system achieving 80% editing efficiency. These efforts not only advanced our understanding of disease mechanisms but also fostered a collaborative and productive lab environment through mentorship and teamwork. In medical device development, I played a key role in developing a balloon catheter system for treating transposition of the great arteries. This involved leading biological and R&D efforts, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, and iterating over 30 prototypes using Solidworks and MATLAB. My experience as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens further deepened my understanding of medical device applications and their impact on patient care.Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to explore new cultures, spending time with family and friends, taking nature walks, and reading fiction and nonfiction to expand my knowledge and creativity.Combining these experiences, I have developed a comprehensive skill set including MATLAB, Solidworks, statistical data analysis, FDA medical regulation, and cell line characterization. I am eager to continue leveraging these skills to drive advancements in medical devices, ultimately enhancing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.Skills:- MATLAB, Solidworks, Statistical Data Analysis - FDA Medical Regulation, cGMP - CRISPR/Cas9, Cell Culture, PCR, ELISA - Technical Writing, Design Documentation - Project Management, Biomedical EngineeringLet’s connect to explore how my expertise and passion for medical devices and research can contribute to innovative healthcare solutions.
