Nuclear Operations Manager having Primary responsibilities in the role are as follows:-• Responsible for the P&L of the UK wide Alstom Nuclear fleet (£28m+ pa) including in-works overhaul of strategic spares holding.• Overall responsibilities for the performance of all UK Nuclear projects (safety, environmental, quality, time, cost and customer satisfaction) from initial enquiry to contract close out. • Maintain and develop Fleet wide risk registers and oversight of appropriate mitigation action• Providing overall Lead and Direction for the P&L of Major Projects. Acting as the principle point of contact with the customer on all projects and supporting PM’s on their specific projects. • Implement management, cost control and reporting systems necessary to achieve satisfactory execution and control of projects.• Functional Line Management of Planning and Support teams, Project Managers and Apprentices, Carrying out recruitment, training, development, mentoring as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.• Developing Operational Account Management and acting as the first point of contact at senior management level into key customers, both at Station and Central HQ functions. • Develop & Implement plans aligned with the Key Strategic Objectives of TSNE Rotating Plant Operations.• Actively engaged with EDF Energy and 5 other supply partners in a strategic collaborative relationship contributing continuous improvement in quality, project optimisation, equipment reliability and Health and Safety aimed at achieving 0, 65, 9. To date this had resulted in the generation bespoke work instructions leading to best practice Procedural Use and Adherence (PU&A) and improved equipment reliability. • Functional support to the business in terms of process improvement, training and leadership.

This meant I was able to prioritise and effectively manage the needs of a wide range of stakeholders ensuring long lead time spares/ equipment, and in-works overhauls were well planned and executed.• Identified tooling and sub-contractor requirements for allocated projects, carry out competitive tender , negotiated contracts, placed orders and managed both off and on-site activities effectively. This helped to achieve improvements on the ‘as sold’ GM’s through high productivity, zero rework leading to improved customer relations as demonstrated by the customer satisfaction report (F12).• Managing and assessing the impact of emergent work and using the change management process to manage emergent work and delays.

Dec 2006 to June 2008. Working in Rolls- Royce Nuclear Submarines as a Campaign / Commercial Officer. Day to day role was the contracting (DEFCON, government open book accounting) of new Nuclear Steam Raising Plant for the Astute class submarines. This included providing expert Commercial guidance to the business, including but not limited to pseudo-legal advice, contract interpretation, contract drafting/negotiation, assessment of business risk and structuring of deals. Nov 2005- to Dec 2006 – Working in the Civil Aerospace Risk and Revenue Sharing Partnership (RRSP) group acting as the prime commercial interface for all Transmission RRSP’s. Day to day roles included the negotiation of new contracts as well as day-to-day management of existing contracts (Each contract lasting for the life of the programme including OEM and through life support).Aug 2004 – October 2005 - Prime Commercial contact for all Merchant Marine Gas Turbines enquiries generating systems bids up to the value of £950 million and gaining the following specific skills:• Preparing of detailed proposals, containing commercial and technical information for both OEM & aftermarket supply (RR and sub contract supply (STA / HRSG’s / alternators / control systems etc)).• Negotiation of head terms and conditions with customers (Including NDA’s), suppliers and agents in the UK and overseas markets worldwide. Clients including Shell, ExxonMobil, Daewoo HI, Hyundai HI and Samsung HI).Jan 2002 – August 2004 - Working for Marine Systems as a senior Commercial officer for both Commercial and Naval project. Oct 1999 – Jan 2002 - Working for the Naval Marine group, in the Support OBU as a customer support contracts controller, looking after Gas turbines installed in Naval surface fleet applications
