Following a an acquisition by GE I became the Chief Technical Officer of TIP taking full ownership for leading a project to replace the entire IT infrastructure including a new data centre, networks (WAN / LAN), IT service desk and end user services. Collaborating with the data centre and network vendor to design and deliver an infrastructure based on a secure virtual environment that will support the business for the next 10 years including a private Cloud solution that can be flexed to cope with future business requirements. Overseeing the operational management of all the infrastructure elements of the separation activities to split the business. Playing a pivotal role during the delivery of new IT rooms with separate LAN and wide area connections to 3 sites with minimal disruption to the business and meeting stringent deadlines. Orchestrating the installation of new networks and PCs bringing the location online, on time and to budget. Driving through on brand awareness by creating 1,000 SMTP entry changes in the MS Exchange environment as well as devising several hundred distribution list and group mailboxes so each user could use the website address in their email signature to further highlight the brand and new business.
