Our software enables users to work with audio, text and images all together in a simple and powerful interface. It enables people to use speech and audio to access information and communicate ideas, rather than relying on text. It enables complex processes such as note taking and written composition to be broken into smaller steps. Our software a 'universal' tool which can be used by almost anyone and is especially powerful for those with disabilities.Our unique interface makes it very easy to work with speech. It works by visualising phrases from speech as chunks, which can then be quickly edited, organised and annotated. The software can be used for multiple applications: note taking; language learning; training and on-boarding; literacy support; and assessment.

Learning Labs is a high value, low cost, always‐on training service to users of Assistive Technologies; built through the application of understandings in cognitive learning and neuroscience.Using cloud based technologies, it provides users of AT with online training materials so that they can maximise their use of AT in order to become more productive in their work, study or personal life. Our aim was to provide users of Assistive Technologies with targeted product specific information, at the time of need, and delivered in the most efficient way for the individual to learn.Now there are thousands of students throughout the UK benefiting from the additional support that Learning Labs provides them with alongside their Assistive Technology training.

e-Quality Learning provides software training on Assistive Technology products to help individuals of all ages overcome the challenges of dyslexia, visual impairments and other disabilities.I have been involved with e-Quality Learning since its inception and have been a major influence and driving force behind the service we deliver today.Starting off as an AT trainer I quickly gained expertise in a wide range of Assistive Technologies, and gained a deep understanding of the learning process as well as extensive knowledge on a range of disabilities.I developed our training model and ethos and then went on to develop our training school to ensure that all of our other trainers had the same skills, goals and culture as I did.I was heavily involved in the development of our web platform and internal systems that support it and I have also planned, developed and implemented a range of learning resources designed to help AT users.Having now been with the company since June 2009 and seeing it grow from a team of 4 of us to now over 80, I oversee the day to day running of the company and ensure that we continue to deliver the high quality service that we dedicated ourselves towards from day 1.

As e-Quality Learning grew from having me as the only trainer in 2009 to having over 40 trainers by 2014, my role developed into that of Training Services Manager.My responsibility in this role was to ensure that every trainer we brought on board was trained to the excellent standards that we had set ourselves and that we now had a reputation for. I developed the e-Quality Learning training school and alongside our trainers, we also developed an internal Customer Support Team whose role it was to look after the administrative side of things and allow our trainers to do what they do best and train our learners.During this time I led the development of our platform which is now the most comprehensive portal for managing training allocations in our industry and allowed us to work with an ever increasing network of Universities throughout the UK.

As an Assistive Technology trainer, I was responsible for training individuals with a range of disabilities on a one-to-one basis throughout the UK.My Learners were predominantly those in Higher Education who had received a range of Assistive Technology to help support them through their studies through a government funding stream called the Disabled Students Allowance. (DSA)During this time I became proficient in using a range of Assistive Technology hardware and software including TextHELP Read&Write, ClaroRead, MindView, Inspiration, MindManager, MindGenius, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Audio Notetaker, Olympus DVR's, Abbyy Finereader, ZoomText and many others.My approach to training was to discover the learning needs of the individual as well as the way in which they learn best in order to deliver a bespoke training session. Building motivation and desire to want to learn is a huge part of being a good trainer, not just knowing what all the buttons do and this was key in ensuring my learners benefited as best they could from our training sessions together.
