Working with 1.) 'Managed Pressure Drilling" which is a form of underbalanced drilling, just with better controls,2.) AIR Drilling, aka Nitrogen3.) Weatherford is big on training its staff through online videos, etc. Its always good to brush up on math skills, defensive driving, or whatever the work related course may be.

Drill Stem Testing taught me to understand and pay attention to what was happening Down Hole. It also taught me to work closely with the crews, think ahead, and communicate in a clear manner, ensuring that the crews could maximize their efforts safely and productively.Additionally, Drill Stem Testing provided valuable experience in working with open hole pressures, understanding and running the test, and working with the crews knowledgeably and with confidence.During that time, there was a significant amount of driving involved in this industry. While I'm not certain if they have transitioned to having two men per truck, it was often demanding for a single individual. When things were busy, it was not uncommon to move from one job to another rapidly.In recent years, logging technologies, as well as various other technologies, have advanced significantly. Consequently, Drill Stem Testing became less popular, except when oil companies required those charts to secure additional financing from banks to complete well projects. Many companies opted to run casing and conduct Production Testing on the wells instead, avoiding the expense of rig time required for drill stem tests.However, Drill Stem Testing still exists, and it provided me with an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to numerous rigs.

During my initial months in Fairhaven, I had the opportunity to work in a sawmill, an experience that I found quite rewarding. However, it was at the Fairhaven Cabinet Shop where I spent the majority of my time. Fairhaven, nestled in the scenic countryside of Kitwanga, across from the majestic 7 Sisters mountain range and along the picturesque Skeena River in BC, Canada, was more than just a workplace; it was a small cooperative of businesses.Our community in Fairhaven was a tight-knit one, consisting of a bakery, a cabinet shop school, and the sawmill. What made this environment truly special was our collaborative approach. We functioned as a cohesive team, and this synergy created a fantastic learning atmosphere.It was here, at the Fairhaven Cabinet Shop, that I delved into the art of cabinet making. This experience not only honed my skills but also nurtured my keen eye for aesthetics and design. I developed a genuine passion for crafting beautiful and functional pieces, an interest that has stayed with me throughout my career.The backdrop of Fairhaven's natural beauty, with the 7 Sisters mountains towering in the background and the serene Skeena River winding through the valley, provided an inspiring setting for our work. This unique blend of a supportive team, a picturesque location, and a focus on craftsmanship made Fairhaven an ideal place for personal and professional growth.
