Owned and operated the Caza Berry Farm near peterborough from 1988 to 2010. Loved all aspects of growing all fruits and vegetables, but in particular strawberries, raspberries, peas, sweet corn and pumpkins.Worked as woodshop manager for R&J Machine near Lakefield Ontario from 2011 to 2015. During this period I took woodworking courses each winter with Ross Allen, retired school woodshop teacher. Ross helped me learn the basics of working with wood, from the ground up. Each winter I have been building custom furniture and doing repairs and refinishing. In 2013 I began going to auctions and buying vintage furniture that needed some work done to bring it back to its former beauty. This is one of my true passions.Since 2016 I have been collecting live edge lumber and now have an extensive collection of walnut, maple, cherry, oak, pine and butternut available to use on custom coffee and kitchen tables. In the summer of 2017 I purchased my own chainsaw mill so now have the ability to saw almost any log into slabs, wherever I find it. This has increased my inventory of slabs dramatically, to the point where I can even sell a few to local woodworkers at reasonable prices.
