This includes:* Lead design and development aspects of applications (what to build, how to build it, how to deploy it)* Manage the development team* Liaising with clients to understand their requirementsKey parts of what I do are:* Solution architecture design (usually based around Microsoft 365 and Azure)* Understanding the Microsoft 365 platform and how to leverage it to deliver solutions* Development of applications using a variety of technologies (including React, Node.js, TypeScript, Document-based databases e.g. CosmosDB, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure etc.)* Implement security principles/practices and how to apply them to applications (Azure AD, OAuth, MFA, AuthN, AuthZ etc.)* Responsible for deployment of applications in to production using DevOps (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab etc.)Some example applications that I have lead on are:* Symity Assist – SaaS on-demand video service, offering a suite of Microsoft Teams Room bite-size video training materials, customised specifically to deliver optimised training for users whilst in a meeting room. Accessible directly from the user’s smartphone* Request-a-desk – Resource booking tool, through Microsoft Teams. Users can make desk bookings for themselves and on behalf of others. This was implemented as a tactical solution during COVID, but has since grown and is being used by 10,000s on a daily basis* Staff relocation tracking system for a large government department. Used to track the movement of 10,000's of employees between locations. This replaced an existing (in-house) solution that has been a massive success* Symity Hub - A SaaS solution allowing easy management of clients Microsoft Teams deployments.
