As the IT Operations Manager at BG Group / Shell I am responsible for the day to day operations of the following services:3rd Line Infrastructure Services covering all subsurface infrastructure, ISILON storage, Global HPC Clusters, Citrix environment and all server class and high end workstations. Also included under infrastructure is DBA services and Capacity Management.Global Response Desk - Incident and request fulfilment.Applications Portfolio - Release and deployment of all 250 subsurface applications. License management and application packagingI report directly to the Global Service Delivery Manager and perform the following tasks:Build business cases as part of the CSI process to present to board level in order to gain funding for various projects such as new storage systems, Citrix refresh, Global HPC Cluster deployments to over 10 Global AssetsSupplier management. Responsible for managing the contract with 3rd party sub-contracted suppliers including monthly reports and quarterly governance meetingsQuarterly and annual performance reviews with all direct reports. Accountable for objectives and approving bonus (at year end) for all team leads and their direct reportsOwner of the monthly service review meetings with the client to ensure all SLA’s metAttend Global Service Review Board to present to CEO level with other Service Delivery OrganisationsPrimary point of contact during Shell takeover of BG Groupo During the contract change I was responsible for the knowledge sharing and handover of current contract for all services listed above from BG Group to Shello This covered technical documentation, knowledge sharing, process overviews with associated documentation and presentations and managing redundancy situations to ensure the correct balance of skillsets available to run the remaining service and costso Building scope of services for 2017 including team structure, costs and creation of new SLA’s
