Baton Rouge

I worked part time as a supplemental instructor for different professors at LSU while I was completing my Master's degree. My main duties were to teach 2 classes a week to stress the important aspects of the professor's lecture as well as to hold office hours to tutor any students who needed help in the history course. The main skills I taught were writing style, grammar, and finding evidence to form a strong argument.

After I graduated from LSU with a B.A. in history, I became a private tutor for students in the Greater New Orleans Area. I tutored students primarily in Spanish and English.

During my last year and a half of college, I worked as a food server for Bravo! Cucina Italiana. As a server, my duties included: making guests happy, hosting parties, and upselling menu items. I learned a lot about selling, conflict resolution, people skills, and relationship building.

My first real job, which I started in high school in the middle of my sophomore year, was being a sandwich artist at Quiznos. I became a manager a year later and learned a lot about managing a business and its employees. It was an invaluable experience where I learned how to build relationships, resolve conflicts with customers, and make some pretty awesome sandwiches.
