- Leading the Purchasing & Administration department (total of 5 staff) to carry out all the sourcing/ purchasing and administrative activities in order to meet the stipulated budget and KPI- Oversee the procurement activities throughout the procurement process (RFQ, RFP, tender exercise, PO, LOA & contract drafting), including business requirements, vendor specifications, evaluation criteria procurement approach and negotiation (including cost & commercial terms and conditions).- Work closely with internal stakeholders (various departments like Building Services, Technical Services, HR, IT etc.) to enhance and monitor supplier performance, including managing the supplier database and building a robust supplier network.- Ensure compliance with established procurement policies and ISO standards.- Monitor the Administration department in order to carry out administrative activities for the Company (especially statutory license renewal)

- Plan and control the activities of possible designated sourcing units on the basis of commercial and development strategies decided by management and merchandise departments. Handle cost and commercial terms negotiation with vendors.- Evaluate the market to recommend the best source for a particular product or category of products. - Ensure smooth arrangement of product development trips, sourcing trips and finalisation events

Promoted to lead the Asia Sourcing Team, with 6 direct reports, Merchandisers, Product Technologist. Work closely with cross functional team (Designer/ Product Development/ Engineer/ Sales/ Quality Assurance/ Production) to plan and develop category (Baby & Kids/Creativity & Leisure/ Home, Lifestyle & Stationery) strategies, build supplier base options, value creation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with product development team and devise short and long-term strategies for product categories. (e.g. develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products) - Regional owner of the sourcing strategies, cost reduction programs and cash flow reduction programs for the Asia operation- Develop sourcing strategies and define supplier matrix and classification based on price, capability and capacity. - Work with the Commercial Team to plan and forecast global demand for all products categories. - Execute the strategy with agreed KPI (Key performance index) e.g. Hit rate, saving target, new product supplier introduction, on time delivery etc.- Build up supplier base options, review continuity in quality, capacities and value beyond price initiatives to ensure the cost competitiveness- Responsible to set up standard guidelines, key performance indicators to measure and evaluate supplier performance. (e.g. on time delivery, innovations, cost reductions, customer service, compliance) - Partnered with key supplier to develop cost reduction road map - Identified supply market trends/ new ideas, technologies to optimize business benefit

Led a team of 4 merchandisers of multi categories ( Own brand & License brands such as Disney, Marvel, Hasbro, Warner Brothers, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Entertainment One )- Reviewed all cost analysis from each category and ensure that the submitted cost are within the acceptable operating income. - Responsible for sourcing of suppliers and new material in line with category strategies- Management of production process and process ownership of critical path - Worked very closely with the Head of Department to develop cost savings plan for strategic suppliers (savings through annual rebate, volume consolidation) - Continuously look for new ideas and innovation (include materials or manufacturing technology) from new or existing suppliers and generally assist in the creative processes
