After college, an eight month career as an industrial chemist and a couple of years chasing the fall line in the Colorado Rockies I returned to Minnesota and started the LM Petersen Company in 1979, We began as a firm specializing in the design and installation of solar hydronic heating systems. Installing hundreds of active system through out Minnesota and Wisconsin. It was a business driven by Federal tax subsidies and as those subsidies were removed the business model became unsustainable based on market ROI, My understanding of the suns impact on buildings and dwellings led me into the glazing industry and we transitioned into a solarium and greenhouse design firm integrating glazing into passive designs suited to our northern climate. Over the past 34 years we have designed and built hundreds of residential, commercial and industrial building projects.In 2010 I started another business creating and producing board games designed to be played while watching sporting events on television. TVSPORTSGAMES is positioned to change the way people interact with televised sports programming.At the beginning of 2013 I stepped into a managing position with Glass Today located in Roseville, Minnesota. Glass Today is a tightly held family business focused on automotive glass, commercial and residential glazing. Glass Today has developed an exciting line of WRITEBOARD products that we design and manufacture. An incredible versatile product line that excels at integrating exceptional graphics with glass.I presently operate and manage the three afore mentioned concerns.In 2022 a muti national glass firm, Glass America, made an offer to purchase Glass Today and its assets.After a wonderful 43-year carrier we sold the business and another fantastic opportunity presented itself. Re-inventing myself unincumbered by the business world.
