I’ve been in the sales industry for close to a decade now. I’ve tested the waters in quite a few sales roles. I started major sales at Steven Toyota. I sold cars there for a few months and was fairly successful. After a few months I had received an offer with Orkin Pest Control and it seemed a remarkable offer so I took a sales roll there. The season was dry and unfortunately the branch I was working with had to do some cuts. I then left and took a roll with Verizon. I started as a sales representative, at the Harrisonburg branch. As the company (Wireless Zone) grew we opened a branch in Timberville va. I helped with the opening and took the Lead Sales position. I trained new sales people and also continued to sell. The ones I trained are now managers there. I left there after long while and went to HT Hackney. There I learned the wholesale operation. I was in charge of a territory from northern Va to Lynchburg. Over 100 stores I ordered tobacco, grocery items, and convenience items for weekly. Sold them new promotional items, as well as planned out the store set up to increase their profit per square foot. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and they needed to do cuts and I was the most recent hired. I took some time off to concentrate on some family related problems but I came back and took a roll at Randy’s Do It Best as their sales manager.
